Breast Cancer Screening

AI-powered tumour detection from breast ultrasound or mammography (X-ray). Modality is detected automatically — no manual selection.

Research tool — not a regulated medical device. Their results are not a diagnosis and can be wrong. Every result must be reviewed by a qualified clinician, who remains responsible for the clinical decision.

This tool runs both breast ultrasound (segmentation + classification) and mammography (mass detection) pipelines. When you open a study from the PACS worklist, the correct pipeline is chosen automatically using an AI body-part classifier. The detected modality is shown next to the results.

What it does

Screens a mammogram for suspicious masses and calcifications with a deep detector, returning a per-image suspicion score and marked regions to support BI-RADS reading.

About Breast Cancer Screening

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. Early detection through imaging significantly improves treatment outcomes. Two primary imaging modalities are used:

  • Ultrasound — non-invasive, no radiation. Used for dense breast tissue evaluation. This AI performs tumour segmentation and classifies findings as benign, malignant, or normal.
  • Mammography (X-Ray) — gold standard for breast cancer screening. This AI detects and localises masses with bounding boxes, classifying them as benign or malignant.
